In this document we intend to give you the best starting point for the process ahead, so you know what to expect.
When we create applications, we take great pride in being your partner through the entire process. You own the business model and the relationship with your audience, while we take care of the technology. This means that you own all external accounts and grant us access to them as needed.
There are several processes that need to be completed before the service is launched. Below is a rough timeline of tasks before launch, and the general order in which we want to complete them:
Delivery | Description | Responsible |
---|---|---|
Account creation | Create external accounts with the services we will rely on, such as Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe (or other payment services), Vero, and Amplitude. | Customer |
Branding | We get branding guidelines from you and will create a design based on this. | Customer |
Backend setup | We set up and configure your service and connect it to all the external integrations. | Beat |
Content ingestion | We are now ready to receive your content. See Content. | Customer |
Editorial setup | Editorial (or desking) is about laying out the content in your apps (and on web) so users can find it easily. See Editorial. | Customer |
Apps setup | We prepare the mobile apps using the branding guidelines we’ve received. | Beat |
Web setup | We create a website that handles account management, catalogue browsing and purchasing, depending on your business model. | Beat |
Release candidates | We provide release candidates to you and allow you to run internal testing. | Joint effort |
Production setting | We release mobile apps and move the website to the main domain. | Beat |
Live date | The date you publicly announce. | Customer |
Launch party? | Optional. | Everyone |
